It is Swiss-franc-denominated and intended to track 1 CHF. It is created through the protocol by users who deposit accepted on-chain collateral. ZCHF is not a bank deposit, not a claim on a legal issuer, and not centrally redeemable from the Association. FPS is the governance and reserve/equity token of the Frankencoin protocol. FPS holders provide risk capital, participate in veto-based governance, and bear residual protocol risk. FPS is not merely a voting token. Savings-rate data can differ by module/chain and can change through governance. Use the MCP/API for current savings rates and pending proposals. ## Minting and collateral Users mint ZCHF through collateralised positions. Each position has parameters such as collateral type, minted amount, available capacity, collateral ratio, risk premium, liquidation price, cooldown, expiry and owner/minter information. New collateral/position types can be proposed and are subject to veto governance. Use `get_positions`, `get_collaterals`, and `get_challenges` via MCP for live position, collateral and liquidation data. ## Legal and regulatory position Switzerland: - LEXR Law Switzerland AG assessed ZCHF as a payment token and currency-linked stablecoin under FINMA guidelines. - ZCHF is not classified as a security token in that assessment. - FPS is addressed separately as a fully functional utility token linked to governance functions. EU / MiCA: - LEXR Germany Rechtsanwalts GmbH assessed ZCHF as a crypto-asset under MiCA. - Due to decentralised design and lack of identifiable issuer, the position is that MiCA Titles II, III and IV issuer duties do not apply. - ZCHF holders do not have a contractual redemption claim against an issuer. - The MiCA white paper characterises ZCHF as a crypto-asset other than an asset-referenced token or e-money token. - A MiCA-format ZCHF white paper has been published and is referenced from the compliance page.
